Gardens on Glenwood

According to Grubb Ventures, the best-laid plans start with a vision. Then it's a matter of paying close attention to every detail. And that is what the people of Grubb Ventures do.

Case in point: Take a dozen or so rundown professional buildings just off Glenwood Avenue surrounded by beautiful wooded areas, situated within walking distance of a nice little shopping center and you have possibilities. Great possibilities.

Once negotiations on the land were completed, Grubb Ventures began working with Womack and Hampton, a well-known architectural firm out of Dallas, Texas. Bovis Lend Lease, a general contractor, began breaking ground and building The Gardens on Glenwood residential condominiums. This was Raleigh's first high-end condominium project, destined to be a very special place, with very special features.

They didn't have to, but they used 12" of post-tension concrete between floors. So there's no sound getting through.

They didn't have to, but they invested $2 million in the landscaping.

They didn't have to, but they modified their plans to accommodate future neighbors concerned about trees on the adjoining property.

Today, six years later, the Gardens on Glenwood are filled with happy, contented owners. Resale values are the highest in Wake County. Recently, a Gardens condo sold for over $1 million.

The Gardens on Glenwood has won the prestigious Sir Walter Raleigh Appearance Award, the NC Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award and the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Champion Award for Best Multifamily Development.

When Gordon Grubb says, "I will not build a place that I wouldn't want to live with my family", he means it. Case in point: The Gardens on Glenwood.
