Sam Crutchfield

Biography

Sam Crutchfield is responsible for identifying and closing new acquisitions and development opportunities for Grubb Ventures. In addition, he also oversees the leasing of all commercial properties within the Grubb Ventures portfolio. Sam has a proven track record of working with local investors, private equity, and institutional clients with an emphasis on identifying and repositioning value-add projects.

During his 17 years in commercial real estate, Sam has worked on a variety of product types, including office, retail, multifamily, industrial, and laboratory / R&D. He previously led office acquisition and leasing efforts for Grubb Properties in the Raleigh and Charlotte markets.

Sam serves on the board for the Raleigh Fellows Program through Church of the Apostles as well as the Raleigh-Durham NAIOP board. He was previously the board chair for DHIC, one of the largest non-profit affordable housing developers in North Carolina. Sam most enjoys time spent with his wife and three kids, fishing, boating, and hiking the mountains of NC.

Sam is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina.
