Biography

Anne Stoddard joined Grubb Ventures in 2003. She is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, as well as the planning and execution of redevelopment projects including the development of 3700 Glenwood Avenue, The Oaks at Fallon Park, 401 Oberlin Road, and Sojourn Lake Boone and The Carolinian on Glenwood. Anne has established a wide network of industry contacts in the Triangle area and throughout North Carolina, equipping her to bring together the right team for a variety of projects.

Anne has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate–eleven years in real estate equity investments and nineteen years in commercial development–positioning her to bring relevant experience and entrepreneurial creativity to a wide variety of commercial real estate projects.

Starting her career in equity real estate investments for Copley Real Estate Advisors, Anne was responsible for evaluating acquisitions of commercial real estate investment projects throughout the southeast United States and Texas, with a portfolio that grew to a total valuation of approximately $1 billion. Her portfolio included office, industrial, flex, and multifamily properties. She gained extensive experience in feasibility assessment, market research, financial modeling, investment analysis, and financial structuring, both in new investments and work-out situations.

As a commercial real estate developer with Capital Associates in Cary, North Carolina, Anne directly handled the land acquisition, feasibility analysis, design management, government approvals, bidding, construction management, marketing management, and all aspects of financing her projects. Projects included The Exchange at Meadowmont in Chapel Hill, along with office buildings in Morrisville and Cary.

Anne is a board member of Richardson Properties, a Greensboro-based real estate investment firm, and previously chaired the board of the Triangle Land Conservancy. She is also a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, ULI and National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women member.  Anne has a B.A. in economics from Wellesley College and an MBA from Yale University.
